Biographical Notes
Had a barber-shop in Bell's Wynd. Joined the Incorporation of Barbers, Glasgow in 1739. From 1747 successively named Deacon of Incorporation, Deacon Convener, Trades' Bailie, Preses of the Glasgow Highland Society. Fought at Falkirk in 1746.
