Unto the Right Honourable The Lords of Council and Session, The Petition and Complaint of James Donaldson baker in Kinghorn, elected Deacon of the incorporation of bakers of that borough on the 26th September 1788; John Robertson, late bailie, and one of the present counsellors thereof; Alexander Malcolm, late bailie; Robert Forrester, James Garland, Walter Demperstone, James Rolland, and James Robertson, late counsellors of the said borough; Alexander Russel, late Deacon of the Hammermen; William Lawson, late Deacon of the Shoemakers; Mathew Lamb, present Deacon of the Hammermen; and James Balmain, present Deacon of the Shoemakers of the said borough of Kinghorn; all of them constituent members of the meeting of the old and new council of Kinghorn, held for the purpose of electing a Provost and Bailies of the said borough, on the 1st day of October last; and of Robert Main, who claimed to be Deacon of the corporation of Weavers; and John Lamb, who claimed to be Deacon of the corporation of Taylors, at said meeting
