Advocate, 14 Dec. 1758. Eldest son of Thomas Baillie, W.S. and Isobel Walker; m. eldest daughter of James Colquhoun of Luss and Janet Sinclair. Sheriff-depute Linlithgow 1772-93; Lord Polkemmet 1793. His son, William, was named baronet in his honor.
